Advancing Ecology through Empirical Tests of Fundamental Theory
Schnitzer Lab at Marquette University
The Schnitzer Lab tests basic theory in ecology using large-scale, long-term experimental and observational field studies. We conduct most of our current research in tropical forests of Panama. We have also worked in forests of Costa Rica, French Guiana, Malaysian Borneo, and Ecuador, as well as temperate forests and grasslands of North America. Click on the links at the top of the page for more information about our research, publications, lab personnel, and for information on how to join our research group.
